  1. ZRwhdZ LNMM

     with Reinis Dzudzilo

ZRwhdZ is like a formula. It is like the golden ratio through which you
can approach perfection in live art. Deciphering the abbreviation you
get the phrase Zum Raum hier wird die Zeit (Here, time becomes space)
from the libretto of Richard Wagner's last opera Parsifal. Time and
space become the frame, the legs on which the scenography moves.

Zeno's third paradox was about an arrow In flight. But, seeing as it
stands still in any one instant of time, it remains motionless. The arrow
flies forward, but does not move. It pierces the heart, and from these
poems are born.' So said Vladimir Gandelsman. This piece has arisen
from multiple arrows that have pierced us. The arrow of Rigas Laiks. The
arrow of Wagner. The arrow of Auznieks. And all the other conscious
    and unconscious arrows of life.

A few years ago on a trip, we got a pocket-sized musical box which
can fit Into the palm of a hand. But a person can also fit into the
music box. Something can come into existence in the space between
contradiction and ambivalence, which contains childishness and its
loss, or Its retrieval. Art poses questions, because in creating art you
have to discover the world anew.

    Please, enter the exit!

This used to be the ZRwhdZ object label at the Kim? Contemporary Art
Centre in 2019. In 2021, the description would have remained the same
    - without this paragraph - had the massive size of the piece allowed
It to fit through the door of the museum. ZRwhdZ could only enter the
building partially - only the foundation part or the ground level could
    be displayed.

ZRwhdZ was created by merging the Apollonian and the Dionysian as
distinguished by Nietzsche, with the Dionysian being the music and
the literal foundation of the artwork, while the Apollonian is the visual
art object - the construction of the world built on the said foundation.
The video documenting the ZRwhdZ exhibition at Kim? reveals the
pronounced dualism of ZRwhdZ and the meaning of the tagline by
showing that entering the exit occurs quite literally.

Now, being part of the Purvitis Prize 2021 exhibition at the Latvian
National Museum of Art, ZRwhdz is also inviting the viewers and
listeners to enter the exit, albeit differently this time. The visual or the
Apollonian world is In this case the foundation part of ZRwhaz itself
along with the interior of the museum with its historical artworks and
murals by Vilhelms Purvitis and Gerard Paul von Rosen.

ZRwhdZ ground part is eternal and the length of a single rotation in
eternity is four minutes and thirty-three seconds.

    Please, enter eternity!
